Ecodesign

It is no accident
that our brand is green.

ORONA is the world's first company in the elevator sector to receive ISO 14006
Ecodesign certification.

The AENOR ISO Ecodesign certification

What is ECODESIGN?

Ecodesign involves "clean" management in all of a product's phases, from design through to the end of the product's life cycle: minimal emissions, good manufacturing practices, and decreased consumption.

Energy efficiency analysis and energy certifications for your building

Orona offers lifts with energy efficiency class A according to the VDI 4707 standard

We advise you on:

  • Obtaining energy certificates for your building according to the current standards in each country.
  • Energy efficiency analysis through the study of economic savings derived from optimising each installation.

Energy ratings and the VDI 4707 standard

The VDI 4707 standard is a specific standard for elevators inspired by the energy classification of household appliances and developed by an independent association of German engineers.

The standard defines 7 classes of consumption that range from A to G regarding the elevator energy performance, with A as the most efficient system.

The assessment is carried out by an independent organisation and two key types of data are used to determine the class: the energy used during a reference run and the energy required in stand-by mode. The final result of the classification depends on the type of building, the travel, the frequency of use, and the load.

HQE certification

The objective is to reduce the environmental impacts of the building considering all its life-cycle phases, from construction to demolition.

With the goal of involving all parties participating in the construction of a building, HQE certification there are 14 objectives that define a building's environmental quality. These objectives are divided into 4 families: eco-construction, eco-management, comfort, and health.

For projects integrated into the HQE process, we can provide you with a comprehensive document for the 14 objectives laid out and applicable to elevators.

Obtain BREEAM credits

BREEAM (The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment) is the world's leading method for evaluation and certification of sustainability in building.

It establishes the standard for best practices in sustainable design and has become the de facto measurement used to describe the environmental performance of buildings.
